The city of melbourne is full of objects, people and places that attract the attention of the public but most of them don’t suggest any interaction. The vortex aims to provoke people through positive experiences. The Vortex project was to attract public interest through experiments/practices inviting them to interact with an informal practice in an urban environment. The practices used different methods to achieve similar objectives such as drawing, reading, playing, watching, talking, etc. in order to change a moment on their usual routines and be part of the city for a while.
