• The LPR identifies opportunities and priorities for the nuclear science in Europe
• The LRP provides national funding agencies, ESFRI and European Commission with a framework for coordinated advances in nuclear science in Europe

Complete urgently the construction of the ESFRI flagship FAIRand develop and bring into operation the experimental
programme of its four scientific pillars APPA, CBM, NUSTAR and PANDA.
Support for construction, augmentation and exploitation of world leading ISOL facilities in Europe towards EURISOL.
Support for the full exploitation of existing and emerging facilities
Support for ALICE and the heavy-ion programme at the LHC with the planned experimental upgrades.
Support to the completion of AGATA in full geometry.

NuPECC is monitoring evolution of:
• Nuclear Physics infrastructures on the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures roadmap
• ESFRI 2018 roadmap• Landmark infrastructures: FAIR and SPIRAL2• On the roadmap: ELI-NP, MYRRHA (First phase), IFMIF –
DONES (new) • Intern. projects complementary to ESFRI projects: NICA & SHEF
in Dubna
• EU funded Integrating Projects• ENSAR2, coordinated by GANIL - ends by September 2020• Hadron Physics STRONG-2020 project – Grant Agreement signed
on May 24, 2019, coordinated by IN2P3/CNRS
NuPECC Task Force (Priority 1/13)• Goal
• promote and lobby for the implementation of the LRP recommendations in the European countries
• Composition • NuPECC representatives of the ESFRI facilities under construction, namely of ELI-NP,
FAIR/GSI, GANIL/SPIRAL2, JINR/NICA&SHEF and NuPECC Chair, Deputy Chair (if appointed), NuPECC Scientific Secretary and NuPECC representative(s) of visited country
• Modus Operandi• meetings with major European organizations and national ministries/funding
agencies
• So far meetings took place in: • Norway, UK – STFC, Romania, IAEA, Poland, JINR Dubna, France• Next meetings with Spain and Italy
• Goal of the today’s meeting• Present the strategy of IN2P3 and Irfu for nuclear physics and discuss its synergy with
