Norman

Assistance League of Norman is a non-profit all volunteer organization dedicated to creating and funding philanthropic programs that enrich the

lives of the Norman Community.

Annually, our members clothe over 1,700 children from the Norman and Little Axe Public Schools. Children visiting Operation School Bell receive new shoes, a new coat, pants, shirts, socks, underwear, a grooming kit and a new book provided through the Book

of My Own program. Children shop in a retail-like environment, assisted by their own shopping assistant, an Assistance League of Norman volunteer.

Based on eligibility, students are referred to Operation School Bell by their classroom teachers and school counselors. Chapter members do not participate in the selection process. The total number of children clothed depends on the funds raised each year

through direct donations, grants and chapter fundraisers. The primary source of funding for Operation School Bell comes from Gala and direct donations.
