NAVEX GLOBAL OUTREACH 2015 REVIEW
NAVEX Global Outreach has had a truly exciting year. Starting with a few well-meaning volunteers, the
overwhelming generosity of NAVEX Global employees led to an outpouring of support for our local
communities. Time and again employees easily surpassed donation goals, providing over 900 gifts of
time, talent and resources to the communities in which they work.
None of this would have been possible without the dedicated efforts of our volunteer planners. These
team members made these donations possible. Their efforts planning, decorating and promoting made
each and every one of our events a success while contributing to NAVEX Global in a meaningful way.
Outreach has contributed greatly to staff morale by making NAVEX Global a place people are proud to
work. Furthermore, Outreach activities bring staff together. Team members from different offices and
different departments, who would normally never meet, are now working together on projects to better
their communities.
These projects also provide professional development and leadership opportunities to staff. Employees
have the opportunity to develop their skills as they lead events or manage Outreach activities. This
includes volunteer leaders within the Rexburg and Charlotte offices who have stepped up to create some
amazing volunteer opportunities.
NAVEX Global Outreach has also aided in recruiting efforts. Outreach activities are prominently featured
in recruiting‘s social media presence. Outreach events are featured on NAVEX Global’s Glassdoor and
Facebook pages.
As Outreach continues to grow, it will no doubt continue to benefit NAVEX Global and the communities in
which we work.

December: Holiday Giving Tree In December of 2014, NAVEX Global employees partnered with Toys for Tots, The Salvation Army and
Christmas Family Adoption Foundation to brighten the holiday season for many deserving families and
children. Employees from the San Francisco, Lake Oswego, Rexburg and Charlotte offices made over 210
donations of gifts, toys, food and other items estimated to be worth over $4,000.
The Rexburg office chose to raise money for a local family in need. NAVEX Global staff met with the
family’s mother. While her main request was for tires for their family minivan, she also had a very
humble list of gifts requested by her children, all of which NAVEX Global staff acquired in addition to the
tires. Mom didn’t request anything for herself, but NAVEX Global employees purchased gift certificates
for one year of free hair styling, a 1 one hour clinical massage, and a gift card to a local theatre, sufficient
for a family movie night with drinks and popcorn. In total, the Rexburg office raised $1,085 from about 25
very generous participants, over 2/3 of the Rexburg staff.
The Charlotte office collected items for Toys for Tots. Event planners were overwhelmed by the
generosity of their employees as donations quickly filled their allotted space and began to take of over
the entire office.
The Lake Oswego office worked with the Christmas Family Adoption Foundation to adopt a large,
blended family for Christmas. The family has 10 children. This includes friends of the family who are in
need of a home and have been adopted. The Foundation later shared with NAVEX Global that larger
families are almost never adopted as most donors are unable to meet their needs. Together NAVEX
employees pitched in and were able to deliver everything on the family’s wish list including presents for
the entire family and over $300 worth of gift cards for food and other household essentials.
February: Blood Drive In February, NAVEX Global offices in Lake Oswego and Rexburg each
coordinated American Red Cross Blood Drives, donating over 50
units of blood. Red Cross officials overseeing the Lake Oswego Blood
Drive were excited to see that NAVEX Global employees handily
surpassed the original quotas for the drive.
April: Professional Clothing Drive In April, the NAVEX Global Lake Oswego office partnered with Dress
for Success and Transition Projects. Both organizations help low
income and homeless individuals gain self-sufficiency through
gainful employment. NAVEX Global employees donated over 250
items of professional clothing to these organizations. These clothes
help those looking to turn their life around by providing the
confidence and professional image they need to ace their job
interview and get on the path to economic independence.
August: Blood Drive In August, the NAVEX Global Rexburg office coordinated a second
American Red Cross Blood Drive. Thanks to the help of event
organizers, Ryan Ward, Aaron Short, Aaron Roberts and Alyse
Kreiger, the Rexburg drive exceeded its goal and collected 15 units of
blood, potentially saving up to 45 lives.
August: Classroom Central Drive Also in August, the NAVEX Global Charlotte office partnered with
Classroom Central to provide school supplies for children in need.
Thanks to the help of event planners, Michael Swindell, Samantha
Stewart and Katherine Tomey, Charlotte team members collected an
abundance of supplies.
“I’m so proud of what we do
as a team at NAVEX Global
through our products and
services, but participating on
the Outreach planning
committee this past year has
been an invaluable
opportunity for me personally.
Outreach has allowed me the
unique privilege of
occasionally stepping outside
of my role in Client Support to
participate in events that
afford me project management
and marketing experiences.
It’s also caused me to meet
some incredible people at our
company, people I wouldn’t
otherwise have the chance to
work alongside, including
executive leadership.
NAVEX Global Outreach is fast
becoming a critical element of
our emerging corporate
culture.”

care clothing and personal items. Thanks to the help of Samantha Balmes, Brittiany Blair, Kelly Rowan,
Read Leake and Andrea Ihara, Lake Oswego team members donated 150 items, assisting three newborns
entering foster care as well as their new foster parents.
September: Blood Drive In September, the NAVEX Global Lake Oswego office participated in their second American Red Cross
Blood Drive of the year. Thanks to the help of event organizer, Reid Leake, the drive collected 34 units of
blood and brought total NAVEX Global blood donations, across all offices, to a total to 99 units. 99 units
of blood has the potential to save the lives of up to 297patients.
November: Potluck in the Park In November, volunteers from the NAVEX Global Lake Oswego office served food to those in need.
“The Red Cross is honored to partner with NAVEX Global. Engaging over 10% of your employees
in community service at Red Cross blood drives puts NAVEX in a very elite group of blood drive
sponsors across the nation. NAVEX Global staff and the drives you host form an essential part
of the lifesaving network in the community, contributing more than 70 units of blood to patients
in need in 2015. More than eighty percent of the blood used by patients is collected at blood
drives that are hosted by organizations like NAVEX. Simply put, we couldn’t do it without your
remarkable dedication and support. Thank you, NAVEX Global, for continuing to engage your
employees in volunteering, giving blood and marking contributions to our lifesaving work.”

November: Hands on Greater Portland - Potluck in the Park In November, twelve NAVEX Global employees based in our Lake Oswego office, including CEO Bob
Conlin, volunteered a Sunday evening of their time to assist Potluck in the Park with their weekly rain-or-
shine goal of serving hot, nutritious meals to hundreds of needy people. Potluck in the Park has run
without interruption for more than 20 years, thanks to volunteers and Hands on Greater Portland, a
volunteer-coordination non-profit.
