I f m afraid I must admit t ha t I was one of the few who heeded no warnings and worked the band qui te often during the summer l u l l . The majority of the time rated me wfth zero scores, however,the unnatural cold weather i n Frisco i n l a t e August seemed to help out matters somewhat and allowed a l i t t l e DX t o come in. R p t s out during the season included KOOB-KBLD-VmOE-KSEI-KASH- F E Y on morning sked. KAWT on F/C 2AM on 8/14; CICY on morning sked; KWBC

program, KFl?B a t 5AM s/on; h hey put i n a nice signal every morning) KVIFT a t 7:30 s/on; KCIJ-KNEW-WVTR a t 8:30 AM(B l ieve it ornnot with a good signal) KGGM-KDAL who seems t o be on a l l fiorning as I hear them constantly around 3 AM. 8/28 had a good night with K F I W 250 watts i n Sitka, 'laska on F/C. Summer has been a long time coming bu t a t l a s t the t r ees are s tar t ing t o turn green,the wx i s getting warmer and the s e t i s gett ing tuned up now so I hope t o have the best season yet. Until t h i s winter w e have been the Champion Foot ba l l Province i n N Z but a couple of weeks ago we were beaten by Canter- bury and so l o s t the Ranfurly Shiel-d, enblem of Rugby Football Suprem- acy i n N Z.
