Community Expectations
Wake County’s policy for homework is 10 minutes per grade level. This gives a fifth grader approximately 50 minutes of homework each night.
Homework should be meaningful practice of content we have covered in class.
If your child is struggling with the homework load, please contact your child’s teacher.
Homework Policy

Conferences and Communication
If you need to get in touch with either of us, e-mail is typically the quickest way. You are also welcome to send a note to school or call the school.
We hold two conferences per year, one in the fall and one in the spring. Should we need additional conferences, that can be arranged.
All parent volunteers must register in the media center each year.
Please register as soon as possible! After October you will only be able to register on Mondays.
Volunteers
If you have additional questions, please write them down on a sticky note and stick them on the question board. You are also
welcome to e-mail your child’s teacher.
