Bore Ltd.
RoRo Tonnage ProviderShipping since 1897
• Part of the Spliethoff Group
• Focus on RO RO tonnage.
• Three RO LO newbuilding in progress at Wuhu Shipyard for the Finnish Paper
Industry.
• Bore charters its vessels on time-charter (TC) contracts to established line
operators.
• Trading area mainly Northwest Europe and Baltic.
– The Charterer pay the bunker !
Design
• Main particulars given by Charterer.
• Design for carriage of paper products for the forest industry.
• RO LO , Hatch cover + stern ramp, box shape cargo hold.
• GAS operation, High efficiency with low consumption, one cargo hold.
• Cargo hold environment control and supervision
• Abt. 7000 Dwt.
• Operating range abt. 3000 miles on GAS.
Focus
• Dimensions, dwt, lay out and model test.
• CFD calculation for hull and separate CFD, Opti Design for rudder and propeller.
• New hull form with low resistance. Not trim sensitive.
• Optimum propeller performance. CPP with ProTouch and Eco Control to enable
accurately synchronized engine speed and propeller pitch.
• Propulsion line optimized with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD).
• No AUX operation at sea.
High efficiency • Low hull resistance and high propulsion efficiency optimized by CFD.
• LNG operation with VFD gives low emissions.
• Waste Heat recovery system with accumulator tank gives high overall
efficiency.
• Cargo hold environment control and supervision take care of sensitive
cargo.
• No lower hold, utilize for LNG tank optimization and flexibility.
• High Main deck strength 6 t/m2 for heavy cargo.
• Container fitted on WD and MD (box stowage), 264 TEU.
Outcome
• L= 121,89 m , B= 21,00 m , Draft = 6,75 m , Dwt= 6900
• Operational speed abt. 13,5 kn , max speed +15 kn.
• Main engine Wärtsilä 8L 34 DF , 4000 kW . LNG operation.
• LNG Pac@ 250 m3 , IMO Type C tank (vacuum insulated) Tank
Connection space , GAS tight enclosure – built on type.
• Waste Heat recovery system (Ulmatec) with accumulator tank take
heat from exhaust gases and cooling water from all system and deliver
heat to consumers abt. 1200 kW automatically.
• Flexible loading and unloading for different types of cargo.
Main deck door gives possibilities for grain cargo.
