argaret is head of the Urban Investment Group (UIG), a domestic,multi-asset class investing and lendingbusiness that provides equity and debt to realestate projects and social enterprises tobenefit underserved communities, within theMerchant Banking Division (MBD).Established in 2001, UIG has committednearly $8 billion to community and economicdevelopment investments, serving as acatalyst in the revitalization of distressedurban neighborhoods. Margaret serves on theGoldman Sachs Bank USA ManagementCommittee, MBD Real Estate InvestmentCommittee and is chair of the UrbanInvestment Group Capital Committee. She isalso a lead investor for Launch With GS,Goldman Sachs’ $500 million commitmentto narrow the gender investing gap. Previously, Margaret worked in EquityDerivatives in the Securities Division. Shejoined Goldman Sachs as an analyst in 2003and was named managing director in 2013

and partner in 2018. Margaret serves on the boards of severalcommunity and economic developmentnonprofit organizations, including theBrooklyn Bridge Park Corporation, Centerfor an Urban Future, Core InnovationCapital, Low Income Investment Fund andFood Bank Of New York City. Margaret earned a BA in ComputerScience from Harvard College in 2003.
