TheDeltaHousesemi-submersibleFloatingProductionSystemachievedfirstoilproductionin2015.ItisinstalledinMississippiCanyon254andsitsinwaterdepthof4,500feet.H2Owasawardedthecompletepotablewatersystemincludingthewatermaker,storagetankandpressuresetpackages.

CHALLENGE

Initially,thescopewasintendedasthreeseparatepackagesinstalledinvariouslocationsthroughouttheplatform:a5,000gallonperdayreverseosmosisdesalinationplanttosupplyenoughwaterfor50people,a2,500gallondaytankanda2X50gallonsperminutepressuresetskid.Thecustomerwasinterestedinwaystosavespaceandreducecostsfortheproject.

SOLUTION

H2Oofferedtopackagetheentirepotablewatersystemfortheplatformonasingleskid.Thesingleskidresultedinsmallerfootprintandeasierinstallationasitwasnowasingleliftitem.Additionally,thecustomersavedconsiderablecostsinthreeprimaryareas:

1) Engineering:• withthesameengineeringteamreviewingthespecificationsandsubmittingdocumentationforall

threepackages,H2Owasabletoreduce30%ofengineeringhoursrequired2) Controlsystem:

• withasinglesupplier,onlyonePLCwasrequiredtocontrolallthreepackagesasopposedtohavingaseparatePLCperpackage

3) Fieldinstallation:• alloftheinterconnectingplumbingandwiringbetweenthethreepackageswasconductedpriorto

delivery.Hence,havingthreepackagesonasingleskidminimizedfieldplumbingandcabling.

RESULT

LLOGwasabletoachievedesiredcostreduction,whilesavingspaceandminimizingtheamountoffieldworktypicallyrequiredtointerconnectthesepackages.H2Owasabletodesign,test,documentanddeliverthisentirecustompotablewatersysteminlessthan20weeks.
