1) Hours
Mondays to Fridays, 09:00 - 20:00 (during vacations, 9:00-17:00)
Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and National holidays
2) Borrowing books
You need your student card to borrow books.
You may use the self-checkout system.
3) Borrowing period and amount
Undergraduates of School of Law Maximum: 10 books for one month
Other students Maximum: 10 books for two weeks
※ Renewals may not be checked out.
※ Journals, dictionaries, indexes, and reference books may not be borrowed.
4) Self-checkout
① The screen animator is always running. Touch the display, and then the first
screen is displayed.

② Check your student card on the card reader.

③ Put one or two books on the book reader.
④ Touch the [Checkout] button.
⑤ Put any additional books on the book reader and touch the [Checkout] button.
When all books have been checked out, touch the [Finished] button.
5) Return
Return the law library books to the book post of the law library.
The book post is in front of the law library entrance.
6) Caution!
If you return law library books to the central or the economics library,
they might get lost. In this case, your name might be added to our
blacklist! Borrowers who don't return their overdue books are also added
to our blacklist!

Current and back issues of journals are placed in the
Magazine shelves. After a certain period of time, they
are bound and placed in the mobile aisle shelving in the
back room.
The current issue is displayed on the panel. Other back
issues are placed behind the panel.

To take bound journals, you need to make an aisle by turning the shelf’s handle.
Before you enter the sliding shelves, lock them.

First, use the online catalogue to find the item’s call number. All books are located
by call number.
Call numbers usually consist of two parts: the Nippon Decimal Classification (NDC),
which reflects the item’s subject, and the Cutter number, which is usually based on
the author's name or the book’s title.
