Tesco specializes in the recerti� cation of top drive and automated
pipe-handling equipment (both Tesco and Non-Tesco), with proven,
ef� cient methods and detailed documentation. Our testing facilities,
QC systems, and highly trained personnel will ensure that all
recerti� cations are completed to Tesco and all applicable industry
standards.
When the recerti� cation is complete, the client is issued a
comprehensive report of the work performed including shipping/
receiving reports, wear reports, functional reports, dynamometer
results and a certi� cate of compliance.
Thorosh service records not only facilitates error tracking, but also
becomes an important part of a unit’s history that aids future repairs,
inspections, and performance upgrade design efforts.
Every recerti� cation receives a Tesco OEM Recerti� cation
Certi� cate along with a complete customer summary and document package.
RECERTIFICATION INCLUDES• Document the components received
• Perform operational tests on key systems and record performance
results. Operational tests include:
Function Test - Robotics, hydraulics and electrical
Dynamometer (where available)
• Document damage and defi ciencies, and provide wear reports for
main components
• Disassemble the top drive and associated components
• Inspect the power unit
• Rebuild the top drive and power unit to API 8B and API 8C standards
• Test the top drive and compare performance results against pre-
service performance results and OEM speci� cations
• Document that the components shipped
• Issue a certifi cate of compliance and a 90-day parts and labor
warranty
