Conclusions Extensive ICT programme has resulted in various posistive
outcomes:
Improved customer service – both external and internal Enhanced ability to manage enormous tax information
workload Enhanced opportunities for more effective tax mobilisation
through better intelligence on taxpayer operaitons.
Improved opportunities for accelerated changes to workpractices and staff culture
African Governments need to strongly embrace ICT as the keyenabler in their quest to improve the effectiveness of TaxInstitutuions
