Remembrance Board For the month of
November there will be a Remembrance Board in the back alcove of the church. Feel free to bring Mass Cards or pictures of your loved ones to display on this board. Please ensure your name and phone number are on the back so they may be returned to you.
W.O.W.S. (Working On Women’s Spirituality) WOWS is open for registration for
the winter evening session. It meets Tuesday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00pm and runs for seven consecutive weeks beginning February 17th. Each week we cover topics relevant to women of all ages such as: self-esteem, stress, everyday spirituality, friendships, and spiritual g i f t s . SPACE RESERVATIONS: With our growing
parish we have formalized the space reservation process. If you would like to reserve space in the Church for a St. Stephen, Martyr sponsored event, please go to the website ssmrcc.org. You must view the website calendar for availability before making your request. Select the About tab, Sign-ups and then Room Reservations. It is our desire to accommodate all requests in a timely manner. Once your request has been received, we will contact you for confirmation of the event.
Members of the Order of Alhambra, a Catholic Family
Fraternal Organization dedicated to assisting developmentally disabled persons, will be outside the church after all Masses next weekend to accept donations. Donations are
taken up once a year and go to support the Tidewater Developmentally Disabled Persons. Money collected goes to help “God’s Special People” in our local community.

can get them here for only $5.00 a box. The candles are 10 inches by ¾ inch. Stop at the table in the commons.
Thanksgiving Food Baskets All Thanksgiving
food basket deliveries should be completed this weekend unless coordinated otherwise with the family being sponsored. Anyone unable to complete their delivery to their assigned family should contact Tricia Tobin immediately. We are sharing our Thanksgiving blessings with 70 families in need this year. about the Mass this Christmas. The New
Evangelization Committee is raising money to order
2,000 copies of “The Mass Explained” by Fr. Larry
Richards. If you’d like to contribute, donations can be

lot. Your support of this fundraiser is an important part
of our church ministry. We accept cash or checks.
NEST As a member of the Norfolk Emergency Shel-
ter Team, St. Stephen, Martyr parish will host home-
less men and women from Norfolk beginning Wednes-
day evening January 21 until Wednesday morning
January 28, 2015. Many volunteers are needed to
serve our guests throughout the week. Signups for
service teams and food will begin the weekend of
January 3/4, 2015. We are in critical need of bus driv-
ers. Any licensed bus drivers with passenger and air
brake certification who could help would be greatly

Holly Craft Fair St. Matthew’s Catholic School is
hosting it’s 2nd Annual Holly Craft Show on December

Advent Outreach We will continue Advent Out-
reach family signups on November 29/30 and Decem-
ber 6/7. There are two options: Sponsor a family that
the nonprofit Healthy Families CHIP serves by provid-
ing two gifts for each child and food for the family and
delivering the Advent basket to the family on December
20. Or buy an individual gift to help stock the ForKids
shelter gift store then drop off at St. Stephen, Martyr on
December 5 from 5:30—7:30 pm or on December 6
between 9 am—Noon.
