COMMENTSThewordkaurreemeanstwentyandreferstotwentysounds.Thefirstsevensoundsarecalledsargam.Thenextfivesounds(s,t,n,manda)arethefiveelevatingmusicalsoundscalledThePanchShabad.ThesetwelvesoundstogetherareknownasSiriSargam.Thenextfoursoundsare:Raa,Maa,Daa,Saa,whichmeansrespectively:Infinity,Thou,Iam,Thou.LasteightsoundsarecalledSiriGaitriMantra.ThetotaltwentysoundsareSiriMantra,LivSarangMantraandGeeannMantra,aswellasKauriKriya,SankhKriyaandSurtiKriya.KauriKriyaisagoodexampleof the combination of mantra, concentration, pranayama, rhythm, melody and all other aspects of Naad Yoga. ThisKriyawillbalancetheEarthandEthercomponentsofyourbeing.KauriKriyaisofSaraswatiwhoisthegoddessofNaadoftheworld.ThemasterofNaadisAkaal,theundyingBeing.ThisKriyaisthefirststeptowardsraisingyourenergyfromthelowertothehighercenters.Itwilltake the apana (eliminativeenergy) into thepranic (generativeenergy) region, balancing andproperly channeling theseenergies.
