VBS Wrap-up & Office Hours
One thousand expressions of thank you are not enough to show you how appreciative I am of the work and
cooperation on your part that went forth in making this year’s VBS a success. As I write these words we still
have two nights left, but things have gone so well for the first two nights. Even though I don’t feel it is ade-
quate, I want to say thank you to all who helped. It means a lot to me to see such teamwork here at the North
View congregation. If I may continue to brag, y’all have done fantastic at providing food each night. You have
truly stepped up and met the challenge of making sure we didn’t run short any particular night. Barry Throne-
berry has done an outstanding job teaching the class in the auditorium, and I know you have been blessed to sit
at his feet this week.
I want to update everyone on ways that you can get in touch with me as your preacher. If you would like to
schedule an appointment with me, my office hours are Monday-Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and
Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Sometimes people will stop by unannounced, and I will not discourage
that; however, it is possible you may not catch me for various reasons whether I am already meeting with
someone, visiting someone in the hospital, gone to a funeral, etc. Feel free to call the church office to make an

Bible Trivia
According to Peter, who knows how to rescue the godly from temptation?
[The answer will be given during the Sunday morning welcome by Jeremy.]
Last week’s answer is found in Genesis 10:9. Nimrod was the individual described as a
mighty hunter before the Lord.
The summer series will resume on Wednesday, July 30 with Stephen Kelley from the
Main Street Church of Christ in Mount Pleasant as our speaker. His topic is “Better Covenant.”
We hope you will make plans to join us!
appointment or you can call me to set something up also. There are times I can be available to meet with you
outside of these office hours. If you will contact me to see what else is feasible, we might be able to arrange
something else depending on what is going on with my other family responsibilities. Sometimes preachers are
said to be on call 24/7, but that doesn’t always mean I can drop what I’m doing or cancel some kind of family
plans. I want to be as accessible to you as possible, but I also want to convey that there might be some schedul-
ing issues we need to work around in order to meet.
I love this congregation at North View, and I want to do everything I can to help us be a unified body of be-
lievers internally and a light to the community externally.
Brotherly,
Jeremy T. Butt
If you know someone who would be interested in studying the Bible, please let
us know. We would be glad to set up a study, as we want to be evangelistic in
this community.
