At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. …"The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ "But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. Observations:What happened to Paradise? It split. Heaven
now serves in place of Paradise. Hell is now the only destination below.
Beware of those who try to make Jesus a “weakling” who suffered torment from demons in hell.
Jesus paid the full penalty of our sins at the cross (“It is finished”). He didn’t need to suffer in Hell for us.

Hebrews 4:14-16
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are— yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Revelation 2:8-10
"To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again… Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer…Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Hebrews 4:15-16
