iPASOLINK 250/650
PASOLINK Series
Next Generation
Nodal RadioHybrid TDM/Packet
At the core of the Intelligent Packet Platform is iPASOLINK,
the High Capacity Hybrid TDM/Packet Radio.
iPASOLINK is a modular network element that integrates a
comprehensive set of TDM and Packet switching features on a
versatile platform, resulting in a reduced total cost of ownership
(TCO). The iPASOLINK is available in two shelf configurations.
• iPASOLINK 250 (2-Way Nodal): Capacity-optimized packet radio
for the extension of reach and capacity
• iPASOLINK 650 (6-Way Nodal): Nodal packet radio for multi-
service aggregation and bandwidth management
NEC’s iPASOLINK is available in split architecture and all-indoor
configurations. The iPASOLINK Outdoor Units (ODUs) are
unmatched in long term reliability with a field proven mean time
between failure measured in the millions of hours. The all-indoor
solution is compact and powerful yielding high system gain with low
power consumption. Both packages use the common Indoor Unit
(IDU) for interface, switching, and modem functions.
