Gathering Music: “Sanctuary” Lord Prepare me, to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. With thanksgiving, I’ll be a living sanctuary for you. Informal Moments : Rev. Robin Lyons Prelude: Accompanist: Shawn Ford *Call to Worship: (Responsively) God calls together a divine council to render judgment God holds a plumb line to measure our faithfulness. Who can stand before our judgments of God? How shall we know what God expects of us? Lift up your prayers for God’s mercy. Earnestly seek to know the ways of truth and salvation. Can we distinguish faithfulness from popular success? What must we do to inherit eternal life? God’s judgment comes to all nations of the earth. God’s covenant with us involves care for all people. Will God deliver us from the hands of the wicked? Will God put an end to wanton treachery? *Hymn: God of Grace and God of Glory # 577 *Invocation
Passing the Peace of Christ Please sign your name in the blue attendance book at the end of each pew and greet those around you. Children, Pre-K through 5th grade may come forward at this time.

185th CELEBRATION Sunday, August 25, 2019
Winchester UMC turns 185 years old this year, and the Church Council has designated Sunday, August 25, as our Celebration Day! We have
invited former pastors to return, and will plan to have a meal following Sunday School that day. We will have a photographer with us to take a group photo out on the south lawn.
There will be more information coming, but the Church Council would like everyone to put this special Sunday on your August Calendar!

CZECH REPUBLIC MISSION TEAM
The Sedlcany Summer English Camp team is in the Czech Republic this week. We remember Phyllis Henson, Paul and Kate Herring, and Cindy Arnold of Springfield 1st
UMC. We’ll be joined by a team of 6 Canadians. Camp is the week of July 15-19. There are 90 campers registered, ages 7 - adult. Our schedule is packed, and we may
encounter many challenges, but the kids are great and everyone treats us royally. Please pray for our safe travel, good health, energy & stamina, flexibility,
and good connections with the campers. A special thank you to our airport drivers, Gene Henson and Emery Wood.
