standing impression on my life an d on e which
helped shape my interest in miss ions s ince that
t ime .
Each y ea r y oung ladies from th e Cincinnati
Bible Seminary came to help an d t o t each. One
year Exie Fultz was t he J un io r C la ss t ea ch er a nd
th e boys and girls loved her.
One young girl went home and conf ided to hermothe r , who was c on fi ne d t o b ed with a severe
case of poisoning on her legs, herdes ire, Mom, Iwis h y ou wer e no t sick because I wish Exie could

Junior girls in Japan (below) formed th e first
Bible Class group to be taught by Exie Fultz
shortly after sh e moved to Awaji I sl and fromTokyo in October, 1977. The opening of these
classes pioneers th e work for th e Lord at
Cords-of-Love Bible Pla c e .
During Exie s furlough (April, 1979- February,
1980) these classes—and others for high school
e r s—have had to c lo se fo r lack of a teacher .
Junior High classes will open when Exie_returna \ \to Japan the or willing theJjx§lof FebruaryJ^1980. Along with their opening will be theopening of additional classes fo r youngerb r o th e r s and s i s te rs an d fo r mother s .
Japanese Junior Girls
Exie plans to leave the mid-west shortly after
New Year s Day, spend January in the south-west
and west and leave for Tokyo-Osaka from Seattle,
Washington around the first of February, th e Lordwilling. Sh e asks for your continued prayer for her
an d th e work of th e Lord sh e is engaged in on
Awaji Island.

It was a joy to Exie to be the teacher of theJunior Girls class a t t he Central Church of Christ.

mailed a picture postcard of th e St. Louis a rea toa Japanese girl on Awaji Island with a verse ofScripture written on it (In English, of course).Scripture references were cited so that theJapanese girls could read the messages fromtheir Japanese Bibles.

Seating capacity for the second-floor auditorium (with balcony) will be approximately150 persons . Besides being used f o r worship s er vi ce s t he se areas w i l l a l s o serve , f o r
some t ime, as classrooms. The chapel w i l l s i t on th e same low mountain r idge as E x i e s
home and w i l l be v i s i b l e t o t h e Higashiura f o l k l i v i n g i n t h e c o a s t a l a r e a .
