Ephesians6:1-91Children,obeyyourparentsintheLord,
forthisisright.2“Honoryourfatherand
mother”-whichisthefirstcommandment
withapromise-3“sothatitmaygowell
withyouandthatyoumayenjoylonglife
ontheearth.”
4Fathers,donotexasperateyourchildren;
instead,bringthemupinthetrainingand
instructionoftheLord.
5Slaves,obeyyourearthlymasterswith
respectandfear,andwithsincerityof
heart,justasyouwouldobeyChrist.6Obey
themnotonlytowintheirfavorwhen
theireyeisonyou,butasslavesofChrist,
doingthewillofGodfromyourheart.7Servewholeheartedly,asifyouwere
servingtheLord,notpeople,8becauseyou
knowthattheLordwillrewardeachone
forwhatevergoodtheydo,whetherthey
areslaveorfree.
9Andmasters,treatyourslavesinthesame
way.Donotthreatenthem,sinceyou
knowthathewhoisboththeirMasterand
yoursisinheaven,andthereisno
favoritismwithhim.

God = #1
My Wife = #2
My Kids = #3
God’s Purpose = Reconciliation
Church = the instrument…
Reconciliation begins in our homes!
If our faith does not transform our lives to reflect Jesus Christ, no one will listen to us. If we do not find creative ways both to point to & exhibit the radical, shocking, & subversive love of Christ, no one will pay any attention…
In our world today, people must often first see the transforming power of Jesus’ lordship, and
then they will learn the way of faith…
