about it. Thomas Edison was born on Feb. 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio. He was home schooled by his mother. When he was 7 he moved to Port Huron.
• He sold newspapers to earn money. When he was 12 years old, he became a train boy at the Port Huron’s Railroad. One day, he was running to the train, and then the train man yelled at him for being late and grabbed him by the ear. He felt something in his head break, and he began to go deaf. Since he lost his hearing, reading was his hobby.
