The Age Range of Children Served
• Children 3-5 years and that are not Kindergarten eligible.
• Child has to turn the age four within a certain allotted time frame. (Differs from state to state.)
• Child must be potty trained.
The Age Range of Children Served in K-5
• Children ages 5-11yrs.
• Age dateline • Proof of
immunizations from physician.
Age Range of Children Served in Middle School
• Children eleven to fourteen years of age.
• Meet age by deadline.• Current shot records.
Physical and Social Development
Classroom Olympics• Team work and competition!• Events will focus on agility,
speed, and timing. • The winning team will receive a
trophy and every child will receive a reward for participation.
Team Sports • Tee-ball• Basketball• Soccer
Learning Theory UsedSocial learning theory- commits social interaction and team spirit. Both activities will encourage social, and cognitive development. The team based nature of many of the games will help children learn how to work together in teams and resolve differences among themselves. (Cleveland, 1999)
