Katie Eary DMU fashion graduate's collection goes on sale with River Island
Rising design talent and DMU fashion graduate Katie Eary has launched a collection that is currently being retailed by high-street giant River Island, which is on sale now.
Katie graduated from DMU with a degree in Fashion Design in 2006 and worked at Levi's before setting up her own label. Her designs are now sold in the UK, in the prestigious Harvey Nichols store, as well as the United States, Italy, Hong Kong, Japan and Denmark.
She also worked with rapper Kanye West on his menswear line before launching her latest collaboration with River Island's Design Forum, the retailer's platform for championing up-and-coming design talent in the fashion industry.
Her 18-piece collection, which was inspired by Hunter S Thompson's book, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, includes animal-print shoes, maxi skirts and dresses, bleached shorts, swimwear and a black fringed bag.
The collection is available online and in selected stores now.

Pieces from her final student collection were worn by the pop group and winner of X Factor 2011, Little Mix, when the band performed on ITV’s This Morning. Semi-finalist on the show Misha B has also worn Nav’s designs when she performed in front of hundreds of people at a gig in London.
Nav was also picked to showcase her designs at Brighton Fashion Week, an event created to nurture and support emerging fashion talent. She was one of 33 up-and-coming designers from across the globe selected to feature designs on the runway.
Her collection from her fashion label Major London 05 is also on sale now.
