Opal’TV have chosen to use the hardware encoder Digigram AQORD *LINK two channels in order to achieve full duplex studio / field. The encoder AQORD *LINK perfectly matches the budget of local broadcasters and is known for its excellent video quality at low bitrates. The reliability and robustness of the solution Com-IP can ensure 2Mbit 4Mbit SD or HD for live performances.

The AQORD *LINK has been packaged in a flycase Com-IP VSAT including an IP modem and a parabolic dish with automatic pointing capability. The Digigram solution provides two broadcast quality SD/HD streaming channels from 0.5 to 20 Mbps MPEG-TS encapsulation. In the transmission tests conducted by Opal’TV, the global solution’s latency observed was less than three seconds.
