Discussion & Prompt:As a class, discuss the video clip:

Words are very powerful; we have all said something that we wished we didn’t and that was hurtful to someone else.

After discussing, write in your advisory journal: A particular word or phrase that you use that may

be hurtful to others and what you think your reason is for using it.

After identifying those hurtful words, write about how you are going to replace those words in your vocabulary.

Bonus: How you are going to replace those Hurtful words or phrases with Positive words or phrases.
