CHAPTER I: Company Data
COMPANY BACKGROUND
saveOne Pte Ltd seeks to provide LED lamps and energy saving products. The mission of the company is to provide a solution to reduce Global Warming and cut CO2 emission, through better and more efficient lamps and lighting. In addition, the company provides energy saving gadgets which monitor the use of electricity and improve the performance of electronic and electrical products. Through a range of energy saving products, consumers and industrial users can practice energy saving to help cut down heat generation, electricity usage, and CO2 emission. The resulting effect will also reduce disposal lamps which have shorter lamp life and cut down waste disposal and hazardous materials such as mercury.
We want to encourage each individual to save one watt, cut one kilogram of CO2 emission, and reduce the disposal of one more lamp.
The company has a patented product such as electronic ballast for circular lamp which does not need a fastener to secure the ballast to the lamp fitting, having a high power factor of more than 0.95, and consume a lower current and using a lesser wattage for an equivalent lamp installed with magnetic ballast. The company also developed a PLC lamp with extended half spiral fluorescent triphosphorous coated tube which last longer and provide a brighter luminance, and coe with about 25% to 30% energy saving. The half spiral lamp does not have any joint unlike 2H or 2U PLC lamps, and will provide a longer lamp life.
It is the intention of saveOne Pte Ltd to firstly promote the lower cost of a more unique and efficient Tri-phosphor Coated Compact Fluorescent Lamp as an alternative before embarking on a more expensive LED efficient lamp.
The company will ensure high quality products with a pro-rata warranty up to 24 months.
It is our mission to promote the company’s trade mark, namely saveOneTM, to encourage each individual to save one watt, cut one kilogram of CO2 emission, and reduce the disposal of one more lamp. The Company wanted to provide a solution for individuals and corporation to save money on a longer term.

CHAPTER IV: EVALUATION
1. Current trend/ technology learned.
We can say that technology is very helpful nowadays; it can help us work fast and saves time. Especially, when we did out OJT experience at SaveOne. The employees finished their work easier, as we remember when they assigned us in the PC Maintenance team as a trainee I can work very fast because of the tools that we use, it really can save time. After I did my tasks I can rest until my duty hours finished.
2. Equipment, machinery, instrument, apparatus handled
Computer
Light Tester
Printer
3. Strong points versus weak points of the program
STRONG POINTS
When we started our On the Job Training honestly, we was very nervous; but out Mentor told us that we have to believe on our self that we can do it.
WEAK POINTS
While we were working on SaveOne, many of our clients / customers asked me why my voice is big, and that’s what I can’t answer. Maybe because people naturally matures.
4. The best experience on the job training
The best experience we had on SaveOne is that we had built a new family and friends. And we had learned something new about our course. We also conquered our fear of shyness. And we had experienced how to face and socialize to other people.
5. Personal and Professional Development: Attitudes development/ new mind
set acquired after the training program
The most fulfilling part is gaining friends and meeting different kinds of people and through that we became more matured and develop skills. We also learned how to handle complaints.
6. Evidence of the background preparation of trainees upon the start of the training (theory behind the training and skills to be developed in communication, managerial and supervisory)
Before our training starts, The Manager oriented and trained us in the branches that they want us to be assigned and gave some notes, guidelines containing the rules and regulations about the company.
7. Failures / Problems: Causes? Suggested Solutions
As far as failures goes. We handled problems given to us by using good communication
skills and teamwork.
8. School – Company coordination
Both the school and the company have a mutual relation they both raised and developed
excellent students that can have a great a future.
CHAPTER V: RECOMMENDATION
Potential of the company as a training ground
The company has great facilities, environment and staffs. So therefore we say
the company has great potential as a training ground.
Company personnel cooperation
About the company personnel’s, we can say that they are very friendly. We don’t feel
that we were working there we feel like that we are one family.
The Facilities and the equipment’s
Regarding the facilities and equipment, the facility is enough for the capacity of all the
employees and customers. We might be on the same room for each Departments but
the equipment they use is same as other company uses.
1. Duration of training (too long or too short)
With our experience, June 30, 2015 – November 14, 2015 is too long, we can only go to
our school during a schedule for an announcement and to comply about our thesis
project. So we only got around 32 hours a week.
2. Proposed revision for improvement of the training program
The students must have a good company that would give them a good training ground
and would enhance their knowledge and capabilities. The school must have the good
coordination for some companies that offer an annual On the Job Training inside their
company.
3. Advice to further enhance OJT experience of the trainees on the company or with
other companies in general.
We are satisfied during our training period but there are still things to be enhanced like,
let the ojt’s complete their task without any supervision and help. Like to do not spoon-
feed at all.
