COMPETITONS!!- We compete on Friday nights till Sunday afternoon.- We always have a pep rally before we leave.- There is a lot of preparing and packing involved.- We always stay in hotells.- So much fun!- You get to meet other dancers, and be with your friends
Practices……• I am at dance Tuesday-Saturday
• I have about 2 or 3 classes a night
• On average I’m at the studio from 5-930 a night
• The practices for comp are tough and long
• I usually eat dinner and do my homework there
• If your being lazy and not working hard you will get sent home….
~Career & Health Issues~
• Famous dancers usually dance from about age 20 to early 40s. This is because as you get older your body Isn’t as flexible and more likely to break a bone. It would be a fun job though to get paid to dance.
• To stay skinny most dancers either starve themselves or make themselves throw-up.
• That’s why a lot of them have health issues with bulimia and anorexia, and end up in the hospital very sick, or die of not eating.
Parades and Performances:)
• Every year we dance in the Salisbury / Spencer Christmas parade, and the Kannapolis one.
• We also dance for local churches, and at special events, in Salisbury.
• The parades are a lot of fun, but are so tiring, and by the end of them I am EXHAUSTED.
Rules and Guidelines.• If you’re a comp dancer you have to give a
copy of your report card to your teacher.• Nothing below a C average.• If you show up late to class, you have to sit out
and take notes.• If you forget dance clothes/shoes, you either
have extra exercises or you run.• Have to have a good attitude, and always do
your besttt!
