Pre-Qualification
Only chapters that have qualified as Premier Chapters may participate in the Outstanding Chapter competition.
Pre-Qualification
Premier Chapter Status• Chapters that achieve an acceptance rate of at least 85 percent will be named Premier Chapters
• Chapters must have returned the Survey of Membership Acceptance & Chapter Promotional Activities by established deadline
• A certificate recognizing this accomplishment
will be awarded to each Premier Chapter

Hints for Success
What to submit:
• Supporting documents
• Submit multiple copies
• Copy of completed application form
• Show required criteria were met
• Show other criteria were utilized to promote BGS
• Photos (but not photos alone) – photos showing various BGS activities
Hints for Success
• Must have achieved at least 85% acceptance rate – Premier Chapter; declining acceptance rates not good
• If multiple years of nominations – show a new idea/activity
• Attend chapter officer training in last 2-3 years
• Award a scholarship, submit nominee for BA or Medallion, hold an EBL program – show BGS-supported activities are valued by your chapter

• Commencement program
• Announcement of BGS-sponsored program
• Screen shot of chapter website
• Letter from SLF or scholarship recipient
• Copies of articles from campus paper/website, etc.
