Summary This guide aBempts to provide an overview of how to connect UK Analogue telephones to analogue port of a For&Voice 40 unit via exis&ng Cat5e wiring infrastructure. Parts involved 1.  For&Voice 40 2.  BT converse phone 1100 3.  Standard BT RJ11 to BT socket cable supplied with BT phones in UK. 4.  Rj11 to RJ45 cable 5.  PABX master adapter (converts RJ45 to BT ) The current setup is using conven&onal Rj45 wiring to rig up analogue extensions . The setup intended to use exis&ng RJ45 cat5e wiring to deploy analogue phones. All descrip&ons are accurate as of wri&ng and based on direct experience.

Connect FV40 to Cable 1

Used the RJ11 end of the cable 1 and plug this into the E1 socket on

FV40


Connect Cable1 to patch panel

Used the RJ45 end of the cable 1 and plugged this into the patch

panel


Plugged phone to cable 2

Use RJ11 end of the cable supplied with the BT converse 1100 phone.

Says ‘line’ on the socket
