Conneaut Charretteteams
Connections FrameworkThis team will take a broad view of the Conneaut area, extending to neighboring towns and surrounding region, serving as a synthesizer of ideas from the other groups and providing an overall framework for decision making.
Route 7 Corridor Our community partners in Conneaut made a point of including the Route 7 Corridor as a focus area for the charrette. This team will work most closely with the President of City Council to define opportunity sites for development and establish a welcoming character along the corridor’s length from I-90 to the lake.
DowntownAlthough small, Conneaut’s Downtown area offers significant potential for reenvisioning the city’s identity extending out to the surrounding neighborhoods. Through targeted reinvestments, Downtown could serve as an attractive anchor between lakefront amenities and the arrival experience along Route 7 Corridor.
LakefrontThe Lakefront team will focus on the port, harbor, and beach areas along Lake Erie. This geographic area extends from approximately the Waterworks on the west to Turkey Creek on the east, including the parking area and facilities supporting lakefront access.
