Certified Peer Health Educators (PHE’s) areparaprofessionalswhoaretrainedtoprovidepresentationsandcoordinatecampusoutreacheventsonavarietyofhealthtopicsaffectingtheCSUFstudentpopulation,includingsexualhealth,alcohol,marijuana,andotherdruginformation,nutrition,physicalfitness,sleephealth,andmentalhealth.

Roles&Responsibilities

• ServeasstudentassistanttotheHealthEducationandPromotionDepartmentü RepresentStudentWellnessatoutreachevents,Huttrainings&events,andStudentLife

Orientationpresentations.ü ActasaHutleadwhenneeded.ü AssistinHEPDepartmentalneeds(i.e.Makecopies,producebuttons,maintainbrochure

wall,etc.)• CoordinatehealtheducationoutreacheventsinconjunctionwithHEPStaff

ü Coordinatehealtheducationeventsannuallywhichmaybeincludedasapartofoneofthefollowing:(Eventsmayoccurinpartnershipwithorattherequestofcampuspartners.)

o CSUFHealthFair,NationalNutritionMonth,STDAwarenessMonth,etc.ü Identifystudentlearningoutcomesforhealtheducationeventsü Develop&implementassessmentofhealtheducationeventsü CreateTalkingPointsandeducationalmaterialsforHutmessages

• Nutrition&GeneralHealthFocus

ü Identifystudentlearningoutcomesfornutritioneventsandworkshopsü Develop&implementassessmentofnutritioneventsü CreateorupdateTalkingPointsandeducationalmaterialsforHutmessages
