PreProject
A PreProject was initiated to evaluate the needs and the possible solutions for CAD Automation at PD LD in 2015/2016
Results (extract):• Comparision to the AS IS landscape⋅ Currently no global tool in place at PD LD⋅ Several clustered solutions for CAD automation exist at PD LD (NX PTS, Self developed interfaces, NX Journal
functions, NX Open, … )⋅ None of the current solutions can be adapted / enlarged to a global LD Tool
• Proposal for a solution:⋅ „Rulestream“ is the recommended tool for CAD Automation⋅ Validated with two complex Proof of Concept showcases
• Several usecases for CAD Automation were identified and integrated into the follow up project as pilots

Training for architects in all 4 sites
26 architects / 30 engineers are trained (originally planned: 20 architects)
Ramp Ups completed from Nov 2016 – March 2017 for all pilots (and laterrepeated for major mile stones)
All 5 pilots implementations are (partly) productive (implementations arepublished)
