3) International DBO (Distributed Biological Observatory)

• DBO is a research agreement among international icebreakers conducting research in Chukchi & Beaufort Seas

• Partners conduct sampling at set stations according to set protocols & agree to share data

• AOOS is providing some of the data management support & support for year-round mooring to anchor Line 4

• Participation on each others’ Advisory Councils– ONC official sits on NANOOS Governing Council– NANOOS Director sits on MEOPAR International

Science Advisory Team

• Sharing data– e.g., NANOOS NVS serves Canadian asset data and

NANOOS asset data are available to Canada partners
