THE INTRODUCTION OF A NEW AIRSPACE STRUCTURE AND PROCEDURES AT KOTA BHARU, GONG KEDAK AND KUALA
TERENGGANU AIRPORTS
1. INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this AIP Supplement is to notify the aviation industry on the introduction of anew airspace structures and procedures at Kota Bharu, Gong Kedak and Kuala TerengganuAirports.
1.1 The new airspace structures will include the following:
a) establishment of a new Kota Bharu Terminal Control Area (TMA)
b) A revised Kota Bharu Control Zone (WMKC CTR)
c) A revised Gong Kedak Control Zone (WMGK CTR)
d) A revised Kuala Terengganu Control Zone (WMKN CTR)
e) The realignment of Restricted Areas WMR105, WMR 106, WMR 107, WMR108, WMR109 and Danger Area WMD419.
f) Redesignation of WMR106A and WMR106B to WMR106
g) Link Corridor and;
h) VFR Routes

2.9 VFR ROUTES
2.9.1 VFR Routes catering for the operations of light general aviation aircraft and helicopterswithin the Control zones and the Kota Bharu TMA are introduced.
2.9.2 Procedures for VFR flights are as follows:
a) A flight plan shall be filed for the flight concerned.
b) ATC Clearance shall be obtained from Gong Kedak Approach prior transiting Gong Kedak CTR.
2.9.3 VFR Routes Details are as follows:

3. CHARTS
3.1 The new airspace structures are described in Appendix A of this AIP Supplement.
3.2 The VFR Routes are shown in Appendix B.
4. IMPLEMENTATION
4.1 This AIP Supplement and the relevant Charts will be effective at 0001 on27 September 2007.
5. CANCELLATION
5.1 This AIP Supplement will remain current until the information is published in the AIPMalaysia.
