Revised June 2015
A puppy makes a
wonderful buddy!
They are always
happy to see you and
relies on you to care
for him.
Housing your new
puppy in a kennel
at night is a
good idea so
she won’t potty
in the house
while you are
asleep.
Did you know that dogs need vegetables
too? They need the vitamins and can eat: Carrots
Beets
Cucumbers
Spinach
Lettuce
Bananas
Pears
Mangos
Peaches
Strawberries
Onions
Garlic
Grapes/Raisons
Salt & Heavy Spices
Mushrooms
Chocolate
Raw Fish
Oranges
Other fruits high in citrus
Get some puppy pads
to start your puppy
potty training and get
her use to the outdoor
grass. Some puppies
may find the grass
strange.
A harness
helps you
manage your
puppy while
walking.
And, a harness
is more humane
than a choke
chain!
It ’s good to expose your dog to many
different toy materials, various environments
such as the park, walking along the street,
the water, various types of people and
different sounds.
WARNING! Do not force your puppy!
Let the puppy explore new
situations on their own.
1 out of 7 dogs have allergies, their
skin can be easily irritated by the
perfumes in heavy shampoos.
The more your new puppy
knows him or her the easier the
visits will be!
Please don’t give up.
Puppies have a way of
testing our patience.
But, this is also a valuable
lesson for us humans to learn!
