This year, the Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market is celebrating the art of Native basketry and the talented, dedicated artists who keep one of Indian Country’s most traditional artforms alive.
Fair visitors will have the opportunity to interact with leading basket artists, who will share how they perform the often-arduous tasks involved in weaving art from branch, bark, grass and root as well as sell their creations. This year, the basket artists will gather in the Freeport-McMoRan Plaza.
