TAKE NOTICE that a publichearing of the Sanford LakeImprovement Board is sched-uled on Thursday, August 20,2020 at 7:00 p.m., on the videoconferencing platform Zoom.The Zoom information to joint h e h e a r i n g i s : L i n k :https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89382715032; Meeting ID: 8938271 5032; and US Toll-FreeCall-in Number: 877-853-5257. The purpose of this pub-lic hearing is to: (1) terminatefuture special assessmentsthat were approved to, in-part,implement a five-year 2018weed management project onSanford Lake; and (2) to dis-cuss using existing funds col-lected by the Sanford Lake Im-provement Board toward stre-ambank stabilization, erosioncontrol, and other disaster re-lief activities given the recenttragic dam failures impactingthe lake. A modified special as-sessment roll showing the ter-minated assessments will beprepared and available for theinspection by those at the pub-lic hearing or upon request.

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE thatpursuant to Part 309 of theNatural Resources and Envir-onmental Protection Act, theSanford Lake ImprovementBoard will determine the prac-ticability of expending existingfunds on potential disaster re-lief activities, review a modi-fied special assessment rollthat terminates future assess-ments remaining on the 5-yearlake improvement project ap-proved on August 23, 2018,hear any property owner objec-tions to the proposed use ofthe existing funds from specialassessments and to the modi-fied assessment roll, and makea determination of whether ornot to confirm said assess-ment roll. The hearing may beadjourned from time-to-timewithout further notice.

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE thatappearance and protest at thehearing is required in order toappeal the proposed modifiedassessment roll.
