3/4MHaving a go
at writing poetry.
After they had lots of fun writing scary stories, 3/4M students are having a go at creating little poems. We wrote about emotions such as love, happiness, sadness, hope and feeling brave. Students used Google slides to work on their designs. This amazing work will be compiled into a booklet. We are really engaged with our new interactive whiteboard and use it for many learning activities. Mrs Susanne Schneider.

It’s the time of year when I would like to thank all of our helpers and people who have volunteered in the school. Thank you so much to our scripture teachers who have supported our kids so well for so long. This is their last week for the year.Thank you to the Casino Rotary Club for providing delicious toasties every Wednesday morning. The kids love their cheese toasties and the Lions are so great with our kids.Thank you also to the Cedars Aged Care home who cook a beautiful breakie for our kids every Friday morning. The residents and staff have been so good with our kids. We have been collecting stories from the residents of Cedars and turning them into books. They are really great stories. Our first children’s book is called “Chirpy the Chicken”. It is a great story that was told to the kids by Mrs Margaret Collins from Cedars.
The colour fun run will be postponed until we have a cooler day. Friday is predicted to hit 40 degrees so that will be a little dangerous for a running event. All funds raised have to be in by this Friday however so please remember to send them in.Our school opening times are working well and we feel that we now have a much safer situation than before. Thank you for your support in this matter. We will be arranging before and after school care for those parents who are interested, providing enough parents commit top the service. Our kids have really put in such an excellent effort over this term. Reports of bullying behaviour have dropped significantly and students are staying in their classes and learning at all times. These have been focusses for this year and we would like to congratulate the kids for their fantastic efforts,The value we are looking at this week is PRESENCE. We are encouraging kids to really concentrate on what they should be listening to or doing. Our PBL lessons are on assembly expectations. This is important as we move into our final part of the year.Hope to see you all at the presentation day.Mr Michael Taylor, Principal.

Library NewsBook ClubThe library is now closed for student borrowing. Please make sure all library books are found and returned as soon as possible.Your co-operation would be much appreciated. There are a large number of books on loan.
This is wonderful because it means our students are enjoying reading but it is essential that they be returned to enable end of year administrative tasks to be carried out.
Swimming paymentsDear Parents and Carers The administration team wishes to thank families for making every effort to pay for Friday swimming a day earlier. This has assisted with students being on time to catch the bus on Friday mornings to the Casino Pool.
