Being able to make and cancel an appointment is an important skill in English. You need to be able to:
• make an appointment,• respond to an appointment and• cancel an appointment.
Making appointment on the phone • Hello .• I would like to arrange an

dentist? • I'd like to make an appointment with
manager Mr. Bill.• I'd like to schedule a meeting with
manicurist .• Could I schedule a time to meet with
hairstylist ?
Making Appointments
Positive responses • Yes, Monday is fine."• "Monday suits me."• "Thursday would be perfect. "Sure”, • Thursday works great for me. Where would
