This collection of glass creations provides an ambience of feeling and timeless beauty. Our unique gallery specializes in contemporary glass sculptures and innovative lighting, inspired by geometry. Designer, Asaf Zakay, fashions his creations on what is known as the golden ratio: this ratio within nature appeals to the human sense of beauty and balance.
Each geometric creation offers a fascinating play of light and shadow during the day, reflecting mesmerizing geometric rainbow effects. Each sculpture is made with bevelled glass, which acts as prisms in the sunlight, creating a magnificent light diffraction, providing a spectrum of colours. CLEAR SINGLE AND DOUBLE BEVELLEDThis triangular piece of glass has a single or double angle surface cut. Bevels act as prisms in the sunlight creating an interesting colour diffraction which both highlights the glass work and provides a spectrum of colours which would ordinarily be absent in clear float glass.
DICHROIC – GREY AND CLEARDichroic glass is glass containing multiple micro-layers of metals or oxides which give the glass dichroic optical properties. The main characteristic of dichroic glass is that it has a particular transmitted colour and a completely different reflected colour, as certain wavelengthsof light either pass through or are reflected. This causes an array of colour to be displayed. The colours shift depending on the angle of view.
