In Summer 2014, College Apprentice will host the Young Entrepreneur Challenge in Boston, Massachusetts, drawing students from China, India, Turkey, and other countries. Students will be organized in teams and compete against each other in a week long program, finally presenting a completed business model to a panel of expert judges on the final day. The Young Entrepreneur Challenge incorporates field visit, expert speakers, interactive workshops, and constructive competition to inspire students to explore or pursue the field of entrepreneurship.

TEAM BASED APPROACH

The modern economy relies on the production of teams.

By leveraging powerful Team Learning software, students

will be exposed to the science of team dynamics.

CROSS FUNCTIONALITY

Today’s ‘treps need to have a full skill set: design, technology,

marketing, sales, and finance. Our students will learn the basics

in all of these areas from Boston area entrepreneurs in our

Systems Labs and Field Visits.

COMPETITIVE ATMOSPHERE

While student teams build their business idea, they’ll face

off in a number of competitive pitches and events. In the

end, top teams will be rewarded for staying ahead of the

game.

competing in daily presentations.

At the end of the YEC, students will have the ability to give

formal business presentations, construct and analyze

budgets, build out business websites, and launch social

media campaigns—skills they’ll develop in Systems Lab.

We don’t ignore the real world! Students will have access

to an incredible array of expert speakers and have the

opportunity to visit some of the most innovative

entrepreneurial spaces in Boston!

Final Team Project

All of the elements of the

YEC revolve around

preparing teams for their
