TEAM BASED APPROACH
The modern economy relies on the production of teams.
By leveraging powerful Team Learning software, students
will be exposed to the science of team dynamics.
CROSS FUNCTIONALITY
Today’s ‘treps need to have a full skill set: design, technology,
marketing, sales, and finance. Our students will learn the basics
in all of these areas from Boston area entrepreneurs in our
Systems Labs and Field Visits.
COMPETITIVE ATMOSPHERE
While student teams build their business idea, they’ll face
off in a number of competitive pitches and events. In the
end, top teams will be rewarded for staying ahead of the
game.

Once student teams are formed, they will have at least one
Idea Lab per day where students will have direct access
and interaction with their YEC Mentors.
Every day students will learn about the components of the
Business Model Canvas, exploring case studies and
competing in daily presentations.
At the end of the YEC, students will have the ability to give
formal business presentations, construct and analyze
budgets, build out business websites, and launch social
media campaigns—skills they’ll develop in Systems Lab.
We don’t ignore the real world! Students will have access
to an incredible array of expert speakers and have the
opportunity to visit some of the most innovative
entrepreneurial spaces in Boston!
Final Team Project
All of the elements of the
YEC revolve around
preparing teams for their
final presentations, where
they will pitch their original
business ideas to a panel of
industry professionals.

❶ Individuals Students Individual students can attend the Young Entrepreneur Challenge by
applying as an individual. Visit http://youngentrepreneurchallenge.com/apply
for more information! Applications from individual students will be
reviewed on a rolling basis.
❷ Groups: International & US Groups and teams are eligible to register for the Young Entrepreneur
Challenge. All groups must have at least one adult advisor for the durations
of the program. In addition, YEC allows one advisor for every eight students.
