The Pastoral Prayer
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name.Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the
glory, forever. Amen.
Anthem
“Indescribable”
From the highest of heights to the depthsof the sea.
Creation's revealing Your majesty.
From the colors of fall to the fragrance
of spring. Every creature unique in
the songthat it sings.
All exclaiming…
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by
name.You are amazing God.
All powerful, untamable, awestruck we fall to our
knees as we humbly proclaim.
You are amazing God.
Who has told every lightning bolt where it
should go or seen heavenly
storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light,
yet conceals it to bring us the
coolness of night.None can fathom…
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by
name.You are amazing God.
All powerful, untamable, awestruck we fall to our
knees as we humbly proclaim.
You are amazing God.
Incomparable, unchangeable.
You see the depths of my heart and
You love me the same. You are amazing God.
You are amazing God.
Scripture Reading
Exodus 19:1-8 (NIV) At Mount Sinai
19 On the first day of the third month after the Israelites left Egypt—on that very day—they came to the Desert of Sinai. 2 After they set out from Rephidim,
they entered the Desert of Sinai, and Israel camped there in the desert in front of the mountain.3 Then Moses went up to God,and the Lord called to him from the mountain and said, “This is what you are to say to the descendants of Jacob
and what you are to tell the people of Israel: 4 ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. 5 Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured
possession. Although the whole earth is mine, 6 you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.” 7 So Moses went back and summoned the elders of the people and set before them all the words
the Lord had commanded him to speak. 8 The people all responded together, “We will do everything the Lord has said.” So Moses brought their answer back to the Lord.
Mark 9:2-8 (NIV) The Transfiguration
2 After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. 3 His clothes became dazzling
white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them. 4 And there appeared before them Elijah and Moses, who were talking with Jesus.5 Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters—one for you,
one for Moses and one for Elijah.” 6 (He did not know what to say, they were so frightened.)7 Then a cloud appeared and covered them, and a voice came from the cloud: “This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!”
8 Suddenly, when they looked around, they no longer saw anyone with them except Jesus.

“Just as I Am”#357 red hymnal
Just as I am, without one plea, but that thy blood
was shed for me, and that thou bidst me come to thee, O Lamb of God, I
come, I come.
Just as I am, and waiting not to rid my soul of one dark blot, to thee whose
blood can cleanse each spot, O Lamb
of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, though tossed about with many a conflict,
many a doubt, fightings and fears within, without, O Lamb of God, I come, I
come.
Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind; sight, riches, healing of the
mind, yea, all I need in thee to find, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, thou wilt receive, wilt welcome,
pardon, cleanse, relieve; because thy promise I
believe, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, thy love unknown hath broken
every barrier down; now, to be thine, yea thine
alone, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
