A Message From Your School Counselor - Mrs. Karoses
Well, things are certainly different than we are used to. We are facing the challenge of socially distancing ourselves and learning via an online platform. That being said, I know that we can do it and will make it through this time by leaning on each other and doing our best. I want to emphasize that last part, doing our best. That is all we can ask of ourselves; whether we are students, parents, teachers, or staff. Did you know that your students' online education will also include school counseling services? Last week they all had an opportunity to begin their weekly mini Lifeskills lesson online. If you have more than one child in grades 5K-2nd or 3rd-4th, they could have twice the fun and do their Lifeskills together. There is one lesson each week for students in 5K-2nd grade and one for those in 3rd and 4th grade. In the near future I will also be offering some online chats with students and even groups. Remember, each student will need different support from their parents and teachers just like each of us will need different support from our friends and family. Please know that we are here for you. If you have questions regarding the lessons your teachers are posting, please reach out to them. If you or your child need to talk about coping and taking care of ourselves during this social distancing time period, please reach out to your teacher or me as well. Below you will find the ways to contact me. Keep your heads up and we will get through this!
