In all thy ways ack nowledgehim, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil." Most of us practice that verse, but I'm afraid most of us prac ticeit in reverse. We try to trust theLordwith all our understanding, and lean not unto our heart. That isn't what He said. Someone said, "Ye s, but Brother Hagin, common sense will tell you..." I know that, but He told me right here not to lean on my common sense. telling your mind all kinds ofthoughts, and your physical
feelings just yelling at the top
of their voice. But yet in the
inside there is a peace.
Believing is knowing. I don'tmean knowing like you know thatsongbook is there because you
can see it. That isn't the kind ofknowing I'm talking about. Isaid believing is knowing. Youknow what God's Word says. You believe that Word with allyour heart. You trust in thatWord with all of your heart. We know that the Word of Godis true.
When He says in Philippians
4:19, "My God shall supply allyour needs," what do we do?
We simply know in our spirit s
that every need will be supplied, and we don't worr y. We have no
anxiety. Our hearts take cour
age as we read the Word. Our
assurance becomes deeper aswe meditate in God's Word, and this assurance in our spiritis independent of what our
physical senses tell us
illumination which we can get
from no other source.
We know, not think, and wecannot be conquered. We know
because we believe. "We which
have believed do enter intorest." Thank God for all of thosetrials. Thank God for all the
tests. Many has been the time
that I lay down and pillowedmy head, and I said to the Lord,"Lord, I'm pillowing my head
on this pillow here, and I want
You to know that spiritually
speaking I'm pillowing my headon your Word. I'm going to .rest, and I 'm going to sleep
because I have your Word thatmy need is met."
I've done that with some of the
most alarming symptoms in mybody. The devil said, "Boy,
you'll die in your sleep. Don'tyou remember way back yonder
when one of those doctors talkedto you, and he said that finally
before you died you would have
one of these symptoms aboutyour heart? You have those
symptoms now, so you are in the
last stages of this thing." Here
•I had been preaching for severalyears, and the devil was trying
to bring it back on me. He said,
"You'll probably die right to
night in your sleep Don't you
Word with me, that's all right
with m e. But of course I know
You will. Praise the Lord! I'm
not troubled about it; I have rest
about it . I know in my spirit ."
You know, you can sleep and
awake and all the symptoms aregone.
In the midst of trial and test, financial difficulty, the mostadverse circumstances you cando the same thing. Someonesaid, "I can't." Ye s, you can ifyou walk by faith. If you will
learn to believe with your spirityou can. Someone said, "I surehope that works for me." Itwon't, because you never getanything from God by hope. It isby faith.
If you will start believing, it will
work for you. Start acting on
God's Word. Start putting it intopractice. You can always put it
