Winkhaus Laboratories provide independent and confidential
UKAS accredited assessments for Doors and Windows.
Winkhaus Laboratories test data is accepted as evidence of
compliance by the Certification houses in the UK. The extensive
facilities enable them to carry out security, durability and
weather testing according to the following specifications:
• PAS24: Enhanced security performance requirements for
doorsets and windows in the UK. External doorsets and
windows intended to offer a level of security suitable for
dwellings and other buildings exposed to comparable risk.

• Mechanical Loading tests
• Hard body Impact test
• Soft body test
• Letterplate test
• BS6375-1:Performanceofwindowsanddoors.Classification
for weather tightness and guidance on selection and
specification.
Tests available include:
• Air Permeability
• Watertightness
• Wind Resistance
• BS6375-2:Performanceofwindowsanddoors.Classification
for operation and strength characteristics and guidance on
selectionandspecification.
Tests available include:
• Operating forces test
• Resistance to vertical load test
• Resistance to static torsion test
• Resistance to soft and heavy body impact test
• Resistance to load bearing capacity of safety devices
• BS6375-3:PerformanceofwindowsanddoorsClassification
for operation and strength characteristics and guidance on
selectionandspecification.

• Basic security test
• Closure against obstructions test

In order to meet todays high security demands, fabricators must
have their doors and windows tested to the specified standards
by a UKAS approved test house. We also provide development
days where we can offer advice and recommendations regarding
window/door construction and fabrication together with
hardware and fixings. This technical expertise is at your disposal
to help ensure the best chance of passing a full Window or Door
test under UKAS conditions.
