Colusa County Youth Football & Cheer Sign-ups

The Colusa County Youth Football & Cheer will be holding signups on the following dates: May 6th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Egling Middle School, Youth Football ShedMay 9th from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Eg-ling Middle School, Youth Football ShedMay 16th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Williams Town Square. Sign up now and guarantee jersey name plate and cheer uni-forms before the first game. Football regis-tration is $260 if paid prior to June 15th, $360 after. BONUS: If you are a returning player that brings a new player that fully registers and pays, you’ll receive $25 off (Limit 2). Cheer registration is $350 if paid prior to June 15th, $450 after. Sponsor Pro-gram available. Child must be age 6 by No-vember 1, 2015. A copy of your child’s birth certificate and current wallet size photo is required. Dunnigan Flea MarketThe Restoration and Preservation Commit-tee of the Historic Union of Dunnigan will host a Flea Market on Saturday, April 11, 2015, and Saturday, May 9, 2015, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the Union Church, 3615 County Road 89A in Dunnigan, Cali-fornia. Booth spaces are available for $10, bring your own table and popup. Donated clothes and other items are greatly appre-ciated. Williams Spring Fun Run & Walk

On Saturday, May 9, 2015 the Williams Unified School District will host its annual Spring Fun Run and Walk, with registration starting at 7:15 am. Beginning at the Wil-liams Unified School District, 260 Eleventh Street, the one-mile walk/run will start at 8:00 am. The 5K (93.1 mile) run will begin at 8:15 am. The kid’s challenge will follow at about 9:30 am. The entry fee is $10 and all proceeds going towards the purchase of a Fitness Record Board. The Kid’s Chal-lenge is open to children nine years and younger. No entry fee will be required for the Kid’s Challenge. Come and join the fun and walk/run with your friends. Eleanor Azevedo Memorial YES Rummage Sale

On Saturday, May 9, 2015 the Eleanor Aze-vedo Memorial Y.E.S. organization will host a Rummage Sale / Flea Market at the Colu-sa Scout Cabin, 901 Parkhill Street, Colusa, starting at 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. To rent table space, the cost is $20. All proceeds

will benefit the Non-Profit Organization that helps youth within our communities. For more information, or to reserve a booth call (530) 458-7372.

Groundwater Public Outreach Meeting

On Tuesday, May 12, 2015, the Colusa County Department of Agriculture, Wa-ter Resources will host a Public Outreach Meeting regarding ground water condi-tions and the new sustainable groundwa-ter management act that went into effect January 1, 2015. The event will be held at the Colusa County Fairgrounds, 1303 10th Street, Colusa in Atwood Hall starting at 6:30 PM. The agenda includes Water Law Overview, Current Groundwater Conditions in Colusa County and Surrounding Areas, Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) and the Colusa County Perspective on SGMA. YSYSL Colusa Area Sign-upsThe Colusa Soccer Club which plays in the Yuba Sutter Youth Soccer League are having sign-ups for the Fall 2015 soccer season. Sign Up Dates are Tuesday May 12 and Wednesday May 13, 2015 at Eg-ling Middle School Cafeteria from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. both evenings. Registra-tion cost will be $75.00 per player, before May 17 and 85.00 per player after. New players must provide a copy of their Birth Certificate at time of registration. Families registering more than three children will get a family discount after the second child. The Colusa Soccer Club consists of players ages 4 years old with a birthday before July 31st 2015 to 14 years old with birthdays after July 31st 2015. We are also accepting applications for coaches - every new coach and assistant coach, will be Life Scanned at the leagues expense. Practices will start in late August, and Games will begin Sat-urday, September 12, 2015. Maxwell Rodeo Classic Car Show & Parade

On Saturday, May 16, 2015 the “Best Little FREE Car Show in The World” will be held at the Maxwell High School starting at 11:00 a.m. The Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. This car show is open to all year model cars and trucks with no entry fee; however, preregis-tration is recommended. In addition to the Classic Car Show, come enjoy the Maxwell Rodeo and Horse Show starting at 11:00 a.m., the famous chuck wagon lunch at 11:30 a.m. with several other fun activi-ties, contests, food and refreshments. 1965-1966 PIERCE Class Reunion

A reunion is to be held for the Pierce High School Class of 1965 and 1966 on Sat-urday, May 16, 2015 at the Arbuckle Golf Course.Social starts at 5PM and Dinner is served at 6:30PM. 1974-1977 Williams Class Reunion

Come enjoy a family fun filled weekend dur-ing Pioneer Day. On Friday, June 5, 2015 the weekend will begin with the 6th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament at the Arbuckle Golf Club starting at 8:30 a.m. A meatball putting contest will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the tournament begins at 10:00 a.m. For more information on the Golf Tournament please contact the Sacramento Valley Mu-seum at (530) 473-2978. On Saturday, June 6, 2015 come meet your classmates at Town Square at 9:30 AM for Pioneer Day! Take a tour of the Sacramento Valley Mu-seum at 1:30 PM and a tour of the Williams High School Campus at 2:30 p.m. Later that evening at 6:00 PM, the Reunion din-ner will be held at the Granzella’s Banquet Hall, 457 7th Street in Williams. On Sunday, June 7, 2015, join your classmates for a no-host breakfast in the Granzella’s Sports Lounge starting at 10:00 AM. Bowling for BoobsCome Join the fun at Riverside Lanes on, Saturday, July 25th at 4:00 p.m. for the an-nual Bowling 4 Boobs! This year’s theme is: “Boobs, Bowling and Boogie Time”.
