The Wichita Symphony Chorus invites all interested singers who enjoy fast-paced, energetic and inspiring rehearsals, making music with a professional orchestra, and being part of a caring community of singers to join this wonderful ensemble! Weekly rehearsals will begin for Brahms on Thursday, September 8; A Night at the Opera on January 12; and The Music of John Williams on March 2. MICHAEL HANAWALT Michael Hanawalt is the conductor of the Wichita Symphony Chorus. Dr. Hanawalt is Director of Choral Activities at Wichita State University and is in demand as a guest conductor and clinician. He holds a B.M. in Vocal Performance from St. Olaf College, an M.M. in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University and Ph.D. in Choral Music Education from The Florida State University.
