Paramount pictures would be a good suggestion for a film company to use as for our distribution as they created a lot of thriller films and ne of the biggest, successful thriller franchises in the world; Mission Impossible. Because of the size of the company, vertical integration can help the marketing and production of our film using the subsidiary companies and the use of synergy.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOSUniversal studios is a huge American Hollywood film studios that is part of the big six. It has a successful distribution of films such as Transformers franchise and Jason Bourne. The Jason Bourne franchise is a similar genre to our own and it was very successful. Also due to the size of the company, marketing and distribution would be easy. However, it doesn't have as much experience in thriller films as other film studios, therefore Universal wouldn’t be my choice.

20TH CENTURY FOX20th Century Fox are another big company that are successful at the distribution of films and is recognised for films such as the Die Hard franchise, Avatar and Life of Pi. The Die Hard franchise was greatly successful ad it is very similar to our own film so that would be an advantage in choosing them as they have some experience. Due to the size and successfulness of the company, vertical integration would allow our film to be marketed and produced easier and to a high quality.

WHO WOULD I CHOOSE?In my opinion, I would choose Paramount Pictures due to their expertise in the thriller genre and the great success in the film franchise Mission Impossible which is greatly like our own film. Another reason would be due to the great size of the company so vertical integration would allow our film to be produced and the marketing to a very high standard. Therefore, I believe that Paramount Pictures would be perfect for the distribution of our film.
