What is Team Cadence Cyclery?

We are a group of cycling enthusiasts based in Dallas, TX that share a goal of

spreading the benefits of cycling through our race team and our general membership.

Our race team is a USA Cycling sanctioned team of cyclists comprised of juniors,

women and men competing in races throughout DFW, the State of Texas and across

the Southwest in Road bike, Mountain bike, Cyclocross, Gravel Grinder and Triathlon

events. We are also composed of members who do not actively compete in races, but

are cycling enthusiasts. This allows us to have a presence at rallies and social events, as

well as high-level competitions. You will see Team Cadence Cyclery kits on weekly

Road Racing Crits, Mountain Bike and Cyclocross series races and group rides

throughout the local area. Team members that have won state and national

championships since its inception in 2011. We are also working with local government

to develop an infastructure to encourage safe cycling and a healthy lifestyle within the

Why Team Cadence Cyclery?

Team Cadence Cyclery consists of a core group of well-rounded individuals who are

able to balance family, career, training, and racing. In order to stay competitive in this

extremely taxing endurance sport, athletes must consistently juggle fitness, teamwork,

health, and wellness. Team Cadence Cyclery members embody all of these things and

their results reflect that. Unlike most teams, we have regularly scheduled meetings, where

sponsors are encouraged to give clinics and presentations to educate members, so they

can be the most effective ambassadors for your company. We are also very active in

social media through our Facebook and Twitter, which have over 5,000 followers. Also,

your marketing directly connects with key demographics! With 64.3 million Americans

participating in some form of cycling, it is the second most popular activity to walking.

And, according to USA Cycling’s 2012 Report, Texas has the second largest number of

bicycle racing license holders in the country. Further, 28.4% of cyclists have a household

income of over $100,000 according to the National Sporting Goods Association. As

bicycle racers, all 100+ members of Team Cadence Cyclery are not only mentors for

recreational cyclists, they are also ambassadors for their sponsors.

Lastly, sponsoring a cycling team is inexpensive. Your company can sponsor Team

Cadence Cyclery for a minimal amount that is virtually impossible to quantify the amount

of exposure a sponsor receives from a cycling team. However, compared to traditional

means of advertising, the relative savings are tremendous. Your company name will be

visible on all team uniforms and act as rolling billboards throughout the area! Your

company name will also be aligned with several philonthropic activities in your

community lead by Team Cadence Cyclery, including working with local schools to

promote bike safety and our affiliation with Spokes for Folks

(http://www.spokesforfolks.org), which refurbishes used bicycles and donates them back

to underprivileged kids.

2016 Began another Chapter

For 2016, Team Cadence Cyclery entered it’s 2nd year with an elite Pro and Master’s

Team, presented by MINI of Plano. These teams had unprecedented success

including ending the season as the #1 ranked elite team in Texas and winning the

Texas Cup. This included having the #1 ranked rider and the team collected over 20

podiums, including wins at Tulsa Tough, Hotter’N Hell, and Texas State Crit

Championship! The elite team ended the season with an invite to race in New

Zealand at The Tour of Southlands! These represent a tremendous opportunity for

sponsors to gain additional exposure at larger events throughout the region.

We are fortunate to have select members of our team with experience in web

design. They developed a state-of-the-art site where team members, potential

members, fans, family, friends, and sponsors can go to get updated on event

information, team information, results, photos, current events, etc. It will also serve as

yet another avenue to increase exposure and promote the team’s sponsors through

listing on the site with hyperlinks to your website. The web address is

Our current membership is at over 170 and

continues to grow. Team Cadence Cyclery is

on path to grow active membership at a rate

of 25% through 2016. We plan to conduct

monthly bicycle advocacy events, which will

help educate and promote safe cycling in the

metroplex. Our goals also include becoming

more active with junior cyclists, as well as

sponsoring the new High School Mountain Bike

Bike the Bricks and The Collin Classic

Team Cadence Cyclery will be participating in a USA Cycling Sanctioned race that

attracts some of the best talent in the state and is held in the historic downtown

McKinney. Cadence Cyclery is located in the downtown area and will host an event

with live music, raffles, and sales in conjunction with the Bike the Bricks race. Each

year, thousands of racers and spectators descend on McKinney to take part in the

most spectator friendly form of bike racing: Criteriums. Our Team uses this race not only

to give back to the sport, but also as one of the many outlets for sponsorship exposure.

In the weeks and months leading up to the event, the team strategically promotes the

event and supporting sponsors via social media, race forums, flyers, announcements,

and email blasts. Sponsor donated “primes” are announced and battled for on race

day. Also, on race day, the sponsors’ banners are strategically placed at high visibility

locations and Cadence Cyclery. This is one of many races and rallies that Team

Cadence Cyclery participates in Elite, Women’s, Men’s and Junior races. As a team

sponsor, you will be allowed access to many of these events and have the ability to

promote your business.

The Collin Classic is another McKinney based event that we will sponsor in 2017. Our

team provided labor and ran a rest stop on the route. Additionally, we leveraged

Cadence Cyclery’s relationship with Giant Bicycles to auction off a $12,000 Giant

Propel, with all proceeds going to a local charity. This event will play host to over 3,000

participants and offer another opportunity for Team Cadence Cyclery sponsors to

promote their products or services.

We will also help promote the Gears and Beers cyclocross event again on November

6th in McKinney, TX.

As our team continues to grow, so does Cadence Cyclery

(http://cadencecyclery.com). We have recently added a 3rd

location(http://www.giant-lakeside.com/en-US/) that is the 1st Giant concept store in

Texas located in Flower Mound, TX. Becoming a team sponsor allows you access to

the shop activities, as well as the team events. We currently have a Giant/Liv Bicycles

ambassador on staff. This position focuses on events geared toward women in cycling

and growing this demographic. Team Cadence Cyclery members benefit from

everyday store discounts and promotional discounts with top brand manufacturer’s

(Giro, Easton, Oakley to name a few) along with once a year promotional discounts on

bicycles. Cadence Cyclery Sprinter Van, Tents and Mechanics provide sponsorship

and support to many local and national cycling events. To encourage Sponsor

employees to live an active lifestyle, Cadence Cyclery offers discounts for sponsor’s

employees.
