President’s Message Election day has passed. No more ads on radio, TV or in the newspaper. Many are pleased with the outcome; many are not pleased and many do not care one way or the other. Did you know November was selected for election day as farmers would be done harvesting? Tuesday was selected because it gave people a travel day to reach their polling place, since many did not travel on Sunday. Life will go on. Rotary will go on. Our Satellite Club meets at Monty’s tonight. I’m looking forward to working at AMI Kids Friday. This weekend friends from out-of-town will visit. We’re taking a short trip around Thanksgiving and another before Christmas. Our Rotary Christmas party will be at Kingsway on Tuesday, December 13. The Charity Quiz Challenge will be the next evening. The day after that the fee to register for the Rotary Convention in Atlanta will rise by $75.00 a person. I’ve no idea what we’ll do for Christmas. By the way, we canceled the December 27 Rotary meeting, just because we can. New Year’s Eve, we normally celebrate at home.
Friends with a house in Key West have invited us to visit. I’m looking forward to doing that, but don’t know when it will be. All this under the same President we’ve had for the last eight years, without political ads, but with Rotary Serving Humanity.
Invocation Father in heaven, let our lives reveal your light each dawning and each evening. May we reflect eternal light each night and each day. As Rotarians, may light and love guide our way. Amen
Today’s Speaker is Dr. Dave Windsor a local Chiropractor and Fellow Rotarian from the Mur-
dock Rotary Club. Todays Topic will be Health and Nutritional Eating.

“If this Rotary of ours is destined to be more than a mere passing of time, it will be because you and I have learned the importance of bearing with each other’s infirmities, the value of toleration.”

The Rotary Foundation is turning 100! Let’s celebrate together in the city where it all began in 1917. The Ro-tary Convention travels to Atlanta, Georgia, USA 10 -14 June 2017. We’ll look back proudly over a century of “doing good in the world” — and look ahead to the challenges Rotary will tackle in the century to come. It promises to be the best and biggest party in a hundred years!
Celebrate Together in Atlanta Register Now and Save Be sure to register before 15 December at riconvention.org.
